Eldorado Gold Posts Lower Profit In 2012 - Quick Facts

Eldorado Gold Corp.'s (EGO,ELD.TO) full-year 2012 profit attributable to shareholders of the company slid to $305.3 million, or $0.44 per share, from $318.7 million, or $0.58 per share a year ago.

However, revenue for the latest year totaled $1.15 billion, up from the prior year's $1.10 billion in 2011. During 2012, the company sold 625,394 ounces of gold at an average price of $1,674 per ounce.

On average, 14 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of $0.46, on $1.15 billion for the year. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
