Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers Inc. (RBA, RBA.TO) posted an increase in annual net earnings to $79.5 million, or $0.74 per share, from $76.6 million, or $0.72 per share last year.
On an adjusted basis, net earnings were $82.6 million, or $0.77 per share in the recent period. Excluding the acquisition and operational costs related to AssetNation, the growth in the company's adjusted net earnings would have been 17% in 2012.
On average, 14 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of $0.80 for the year 2012. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
The company's auction revenues for the year 2012 went up 11% to $438.0 million, from $396.1 million in the same period in 2011. Analysts estimated full-year revenues of $435.97 million.
