Cracker Barrel Old Country Store (CBRL) reported second quarter adjusted net income of $1.43 per share Tuesday morning, up from $1.20 per share a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.25. The company expects to report third quarter EPS of $0.90 to $0.95 and between $4.60 and $4.80 for the full year 2013. The consensus estimates are for EPS of $0.92 and $4.65.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store has gapped open sharply higher Tuesday and is now up 4.46 at $71.41. The stock has climbed past resistance and has set a new high for the year.
