Pall Corporation (PLL) Wednesday reported second-quarter net earnings of $76.8 million or $0.67 per share, down from $84.7 million or $0.72 per share last year.
Pro forma earnings from continuing operations for the quarter rose to $0.73 per share from $0.67 per share last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.67 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Net sales for the quarter rose to $662.5 million from $640.0 million last year. Analysts estimated revenues of $635.29 million for the quarter.
The company said it still expects overall revenue to have flat-to-low single digit growth excluding FX, and full year pro forma earnings of $2.95 to $3.15 per share. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $3.05 per share for the quarter.
