Reed Elsevier plc (ENL, RUK,REL.L) reported that its 2012 profit before tax increased to 1.19 billion pounds from 948 mllion pounds last year. Net profit to parent companies' shareholders was 1.07 billion pounds compared to 760 million pounds last year.
Reported profit per share was 46.0 pence compared to 32.4 pence prior year. Adjusted earnings per share was 50.1 pence compared to 46.7 pence last year. Revenue improved to 6.12 billion pounds from 6.00 billion pounds last year.
