WS Atkins plc (ATK.L) said it signed an agreement to dispose its UK Highways Services business to Skanska UK, a wholly owned subsidiary of Skanska AB. The transaction is due to complete by 31 May 2013.
Under the transaction terms, Atkins would receive net cash consideration of up to 18 million pounds, of which 16 million pounds is due on completion and a further 2 million pounds is to be deferred and paid subject to the future performance of the business.
