Medivation, Inc. (MDVN) reported a net loss for the fourth quarter of $31.7 million or $0.43 per share, compared to a net loss of $10.9 million or $0.15 per share for the year-ago quarter.
Collaboration revenue for the fourth quarter rose to $37.16 million from $14.94 million a year ago.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.47 per share on revenue of $34.36 million for the fourth quarter.
Net sales of XTANDI capsules for the quarter, as reported by Astellas Pharma Inc., were $57.4 million, which represents the first full quarter of sales following availability of XTANDI for shipment.
