Volkswagen of America Inc., a unit of Volkswagen AG (VOW.BE,VLKAF.PK,VKW.L), reported Friday that it has sold 31,456 Vehicles in February 2013, up 2.9% from 30,577 Vehicles in the same month last year.
Passat Sedan sales for the month declined 8.0% to 7,532 units from 8,189 units in the year ago month.
Total Jetta sales, including Jetta Sedan and Sport Wagen, were 11,968 units, down 6.8% from 12,838 units last year.
Volkswagen also announced at the Chicago Auto Show that it will offer two limited-edition GTI models -- the GTI Wolfsburg Edition and GTI Driver's Edition. Both editions will be offered in limited quantities for the final model year of the sixth-generation hot-hatch. The first to go on sale is the GTI Wolfsburg Edition, which will arrive in dealerships in March, with a starting price of $25,095. The Driver's Edition will arrive the second quarter of 2013, with a starting price of $29,695.
