Mahindra Satyam Aims To Grow Rap[idly In ANZ And Middle Eastern Markets

Mahindra Satyam, erstwhile Satyam Computer Services Ltd., announced their intent to pursue rapid growth from Australia, New Zealand (ANZ) and the Middle East Markets under the newly formed leadership team.

The company said Bobby Gupta would take over as Head of ANZ operations and build a world-class team and capabilities. In his new role at ANZ, he will be tasked with building on one-of-the largest English-speaking market for Mahindra Satyam which has substantive presence. His dynamic leadership a MENA resulted in a series of new logo wins, big deals, and opening up of new geographical markets. Bobby had studied and worked in Australia for several years and joined Mahindra Satyam from IBM in 2009.

Replacing Bobby In MENA, G.B. Kumar is a well known IT industry veteran with 20 plus years of experience in product and services, sales, marketing, business and solution development across Asia Pacific, India, Japan and China. In his previous role, Kumar led Asia Pacific, Japan and China as Managing Director for Enterprises for Cisco Systems. In his new role, he will be responsible to grow the company's revenues to contribute to the bigger target of $5 billion by 2015.

Sr. Vice President-Asia-Pacific, India, Middle East and Africa Rohit Gandhi said, "Both ANZ and middle East and Africa (MEA) markets are high-growth opportunities for Mahindra Satyam, after we complete our merger with Tech Mahindra. We sense traction from clients, prospects and partners that gives us a great reason to lend more focus here. I am confident that the inclusion of Bobby and Kumar into the leadership will help us achieve our goals for Mission 2015."

At the BSE, Satyam Computer Services shares are currently trading at Rs.122.75, up 0.53 percent from the previous close.
