Ashtead Group Plc (AHT.L) Tuesday said third-quarter pre-tax profit more-than doubled to 52.3 million pounds from 20.0 million pounds in the same period last year. Adjusted pre-tax profit for the quarter was 53.8 million pounds.
Profit attributable to equity holders of the company improved to 33.6 million pounds or 6.6 pence per share from 12.8 million pounds or 2.5 pence per share last year. Adjusted earnings for the quarter was 34.5 million pounds or 6.8 pence per share. Revenues totaled 333.9 million pounds, up 26 percent from 271.3 million pounds last year.
