Pandora Media Inc. (P) reported a fourth quarter non-GAAP loss of $0.04 per share after the close Thursday, compared to the consensus estimate of a loss of $0.05. The company expects to report a first quarter non-GAAP loss of $0.13 to $0.10 and between a loss of $0.05 and a profit of $0.05 for the full year 2014. The consensus estimates are for a loss of $0.10 and a loss of $0.02.
Pandora Media gapped open sharply higher Friday, but pulled back during the first hour of trade, before settling into a range. The stock finished up by 2.06 at $13.79 with volume at a 6-month high. Pandora Media rose above nearly a one-month range and set a new high for the year.
