Boston Properties Appoints Owen Thomas To Succeed Mortimer Zuckerman As CEO

Boston Properties, Inc. (BXP), a real estate investment trust, announced Monday that Owen Thomas will succeed Mortimer Zuckerman as Chief Executive Officer and join the Board of Directors, effective April 2, 2013. The company said Zuckerman will remain as Executive Chairman and return to his original role in company activities.

Thomas has over 25 years of real estate experience and an extensive financial and operational background. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., the successor company to Lehman Brothers. Thomas also held various senior positions at Morgan Stanley for over 20 years, including serving as Head of Morgan Stanley Real Estate and as Chief Executive Officer of Morgan Stanley Asia Ltd.

Separately, Boston Properties announced that its Board of Directors declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.65 per share of common stock for the period January 1, 2013 to March 31, 2013 payable on April 30, 2013 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on March 29, 2013.
