Acuity Brands, Inc. (AYI) said Thursday that it has bought privately held eldoLAB Holding B.V., a Eindhoven, the Netherlands-based manufacturer of high-performance, intelligent drivers for LED-based lighting systems.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
"eldoLED has developed and continues to develop breakthrough solutions in the field of solid-state lighting through its comprehensive offering of driver, controls and networking solutions," said Vernon Nagel, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Acuity Brands. "As we have discovered first-hand, its best-in-class drivers provide exceptional, smooth dimming and consistent color and brightness. "
Acuity Brands said it does not expect the acquisition to materially impact its fiscal 2013 consolidated financial performance.
