Apricus Biosciences, Inc. (APRI) said Monday that it has appoointed Richard Pascoe as Chief Executive Officer, effective March 18.
In addition to his role as CEO, Pascoe has also joined the company's Board of Directors.
With Pascoe's appointment, Steve Martin, Interim Chief Executive Officer, will resume his responsibilities as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Pascoe joins Apricus Bio from Somaxon Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where he was Chief Executive Officer since August 2008. Prior to Somaxon, he was with ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Before joining ARIAD in 2005, Pascoe held a series of senior management roles at King Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
