Primo Water Corp. (PRMW) Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net loss of $77 million or $3.24 per share, compared with net loss of $7 million or $0.30 per share last year.
On average, three analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated loss of $0.05 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Results for the latest quarter included goodwill impairment charges of $70.5 million.
Sales for the quarter fell to $20.9 million from $21.1 million last year. Analysts on consensus estimated sales of $24.77 million.
Looking ahead, the company expects sales of $20.4 million to $20.8 million for the first quarter, and $93.3 million to $95.2 million million for fiscal year 2013.
