Air Berlin (AIBEF.PK) Chief Executive Officer, Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, stated that the management has decided to realign the entire airberlin group, including its corporate culture. The company is implementing a future strategy using a comprehensive plan, which aims to make airberlin sustainably profitable. Turbine is the strategy's key element. By the end of 2014, the company wants to achieve turnaround effects of approximately 400 million euros by changing its current structures and processes.

Wolfgang said the company is reviewing all of its processes and entire organisational structure and will reform and simplify them as much as possible. Many of the manual processes will be replaced with more cost effective and more stable system solution. The company has identified approximately 900 postions that will be eliminated due to production cuts and the introduction of more efficient processes. The measures are currently scheduled to be completely implemented by 2014-end.
