Apollo Group Inc. (APOL) reported second quarter adjusted earnings from continuing operations of $0.34 per share Monday morning, down from $0.57 a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.18.
Apollo Group gapped open higher Monday, but traded in a range for the majority of the session. Shares finished up by 1.21 at $18.25 on the highest volume of the year. The stock rose above a range at the lows of the year and set a 1-month high.
