Dave Grohl spoke his mind regarding TV talent shows in the latest edition of UK magazine, NME. The Foo Fighters frontman apparently does not agree with the way in which the judges on shows like American Idol critique people on their performances.
"That's what bums me out about those shows where people are judged so harshly by f***ing musicians that hardly even play an instrument on their own f***ing albums," Grohl explained. "It makes me really mad."
Grohl continued: "I swear to God, if my daughter walked up onstage and sang her heart out and some f***ing billionaire looked at her and said, 'No, I'm sorry you're not any good,' I'd f***ing throttle that person, I swear to God."
The Foo Fighters singer also complained that the shows seem to encourage one type of sound until "everyone sounds like f***ing Christina Aguilera."
Grohl discussed a number of other issues in the interview, including his collaboration with Paul McCartney, his love of PJ Harvey, and his upcoming album with Queens of the Stone Age.
