PointRoll, a Gannett company (GCI) announced that it has appointed Mario Diez as Chief Executive Officer or CEO.
The company stated that Diez takes the helm at a pivotal time for PointRoll as it further expands beyond offering rich media, video and mobile display advertising to being a multi-screen digital advertising creation, delivery and measurement provider.
Commenting on Diez, PointRoll said that after holding senior positions at New York Times Digital and PointRoll, Diez joined Centro to build its local media platform in New York as Vice President of Eastern Sales. After Centro, as Vice President for Datran Media, he launched Aperture, the industry's first real time analytics platform based on verified household data. Most recently, he led quadrantONE, the industry's first and only multi-company private exchange exclusively devoted to premium local publishers.
