European Economics Preview: Germany Unemployment Data Due

Unemployment from Germany and house prices from the U.K. are due on Thursday, headlining a busy day for the European economic news.

At 3.00 am ET, the U.K. Nationwide house prices are due. Economists forecast house prices to rise 0.9 percent annually in March after staying flat in February.

In the meantime, Destatis is slated to release retail sales figures for February. Sales are forecast to fall 0.6 percent month-on-month in February, following a 3 percent rise in January.

At 4.00 am ET, Hungary's unemployment data is due. The jobless rate is seen at 11.7 percent in February.

At 4.55 am ET, the Federal Labor Agency is scheduled to issue unemployment data. In Germany, the number of unemployed is seen falling by 2,000 in March after decreasing 3,000 in February.

The European Central Bank is set to publish M3 money supply figures at 5.00 am ET. The monetary aggregate M3 is expected to grow 3.2 percent year-on-year in February, following a 3.5 percent rise in January.

Half an hour later, the U.K. index of services data is due. Services output is expected to rise 0.3 percent month-on-month in January, reversing a 0.4 percent fall in December.
