Florence and the Machine are beginning to get to work on a new album, according to frontwoman Florence Welch, who recently announced on Twitter that she's in Jamaica working on the group's follow-up to 2011's Ceremonials.
She recently tweeted a picture of herself in a hotel room surrounded by a massive mural of late reggae musician Bob Marley, along with the caption "Hello world. xx Set up In the Bob Marley room..about to go to the Geejam studios… #backtowork #jamaicastyle."
With a new album, Florence and the Machine will have high expectations to fill.
Their sophomore release Ceremonials, released via Island Records, debuted at number six on the Billboard 200, and number one on both the Billboard Alternative and Rock Album charts, selling 105,000 copies in its debut week, according to Nielsen Soundscan.
