Nissan North America, Inc. (NSANY.PK, NNA) Tuesday said U.S. sales for the month of March improved 1 percent to 137,726 units from 136,317 units last year.
Consolidated car sales dropped 4.1 percent to 87,682 units from 91,472 units last year. Meanwhile, Truck sales increased 11.6 percent to to 50,044 units from 44,845 units last year.
Nissan Division recorded volume of 126,623 deliveries, up 0.4 percent from 126,132 deliveries reported last year.
Car sales in the Nissan division decreased 3.6 percent to 81,469 units from 84,528 units last year. Truck sales totaled 45,154 units, up 8.5 percent from 41,604 units last year.
Nissan Versa sales finished at 15,917 deliveries, up 2.1 percent from last year, while Nissan LEAF sales were 2,236 deliveries, an increase of 286.2 percent over last year.
Nissan NV sales increased to 1,290 units, Pathfinder SUV sales totaled 9,071, up 177.1 percent.
