Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMTOF.PK, MMNA) Tuesday said automobile sales for the month of March declined 26 percent, due mainly to discontinued models.
Sales of Mitsubishi models currently in production were up 23 percent from last year, helped mainly by a robust growth in demand for Outlander Sport.
"Outlander Sport sales got a boost from our release of a limited edition model commemorating 30 years of Mitsubishi sales in the U.S. and 25 years of production in Normal, Illinois, " said MMNA President & CEO Yoichi Yokozawa.
Outlander Sport sales totaled 2,442 units, up 30 percent from last year.
