Activist investor Carl Icahn has taken a 9.27 percent stake in speech recognition and digital imaging software maker Nuance Communications Inc. (NUAN).
Nuance Communications gapped open higher Tuesday, but traded in a range throughout the session. Shares finished up by 1.15 at $21.33 on above average volume. The stock jumped to nearly a 2-month high and re-crossed its 50-day moving average.
