CapLease, Inc. (LSE) announced that it is commencing a public offering of 6.5 million shares of its common stock. CapLease intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for general corporate purposes, which is expected to primarily include funding real property acquisitions in its pipeline.
CapLease said it intends to grant the underwriters of the offering a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 975,000 shares of its common stock to cover over-allotments, if any.
