Republic Airways Holdings (RJET) reported preliminary passenger traffic results for March 2013.
The airline said its March 2013 traffic declined 7% to 1.68 billion revenue passenger miles or RPMs from 1.81 billion RPMs in the same period last year.
The airline's March 2013 capacity was 2.03 billion available seat miles or ASMs, down 10% from 2.25 billion ASMs in the prior year period.
Consolidated load factor was 83% versus 80% in the same month last year, a decrease of 3 percentage points.
In a separate press release, Frontier Airlines, a subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, reported preliminary traffic results for March 2013. For the month, Frontier's consolidated load factor increased by 3 points from March 2012 to 89%. Frontier's traffic decreased 23%, to 0.85 billion revenue passenger miles on a 26% decrease in capacity to 0.95 billion available seat miles.
