Convergys To Buy Datacom Asia Contact Center Operations - Quick Facts

Convergys Corp. (CVG) announced a definitive agreement to acquire New Zealand-based Datacom's contact center operations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Manila, Philippines. The companies expect to close the transaction as soon as practicable.

Convergys said it expects this acquisition to be accretive to its 2013 earnings. Datacom will add 15 Asian languages to Convergys' language capabilities and approximately 1,000 employees, working in three Southeast Asia contact centers, to global operations. The companies expect the integration to take between six and nine months.
