Turkey's current account deficit narrowed less than expected in February, data released by the central bank showed Thursday.
The deficit fell to $5.13 billion in February from $5.8 billion in January. Economists expected the deficit to fall to $5 billion.
The balance on goods showed a smaller deficit of $5.57 billion compared to $5.9 billion in January. The deficit on goods and services account also declined to $4.9 billion.
Current transfers recorded a surplus of $198 million in February compared to $74 million surplus in the previous month.
