Federal Signal Corp (FSS), a provider of environment and safety solutions, Friday announced the appointment of Brian Cooper as senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective May 28. The incoming CFO is expected to replace Braden Waverley, who has served as interim chief financial officer since October last year. Braden is expected to remain in his current position until Cooper joins the company to facilitate a smooth transition.
Commenting on the development, Dennis Martin, Federal Signal's president and chief executive officer said, "Brian brings valuable strategic perspective and a strong foundation in finance, reporting and analysis gleaned from his over 20 years of business experience in public and private companies"
Cooper previously worked as the chief financial officer of Westell Technologies, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed company which provides carrier-class telecommunications equipment for wire-line and wireless networks.
