Kimco Realty Corp. (KIM) Monday said it has acquired six shopping centers and two retail parcels in the first quarter, for approximately $221 million.
The eight retail properties include Wilton River Park/Wilton Executive Campus in Connecticut, Santee Trolley Square, Columbia Crossing II, Putty Hill Plaza, Shops at Kildeer, Illinois, Village Commons, Roseville Plaza in Minnesota, and the Village Shopping Centre in Newfoundland.
In the first quarter, Kimco also participated in a consortium that acquired the Albertsons, Acme, Jewel-Osco, Shaw's and Star Market banners comprising 877 grocery locations from SUPERVALU Inc.
The company also entered into a joint venture with Kimco Income Fund in the first quarter, to increase its ownership stake in this institutional joint venture from 14.2 percent to 29.8 percent by purchasing a minority partner's interest for $19.9 million.
