SkyWest Inc. (SKYW) said Monday that traffic in March rose 6.3 percent from a year ago for SkyWest Airlines And ExpressJet Airlines combined. The month also saw increases in capacity and load factor.
The company said that combined traffic, or Revenue Passenger Miles (RPM), in March increased 6.3 percent to 2.74 billion RPMs from 2.57 billion RPMs a year ago.
Combined capacity, or Available Seat Miles (ASM), in March grew 5.2 percent to 3.37 billion ASMs from 3.2 billion ASMs in the prior year.
Combined load factor for the month was up by 0.7 percentage points at 81.2 percent, while passenger boardings were higher by 5.7 percent at 5.27 million.
