Whirlpool Corp. (WHR) Tuesday said its stockholders have elected 11 members to the board of directors for the one-year term, expiring in 2014.
The elected directors are, Samuel Allen, Gary DiCamillo, Diane Dietz, Jeff Fettig, Michael Johnston, William Kerr, John Liu, Harish Manwani, William Perez, Michael Todman and Michael White.
The company also announced retirement of Kathleen Hempel, former vice chairman and CFO of Fort Howard Corp., and Miles Marsh, former chairman and CEO of Fort James Corp., from the board, effective April 16.
Allen is chairman and CEO of Deere & Co., while DiCamillo is a partner at Eaglepoint Advisors, LLC. Dietz is currently EVP and chief marketing officer at Safeway, Inc. Fettig is chairman and CEO of Whirlpool Corp. Johnston is the former chairman of the board and CEO of Visteon Corp.
Kerr is the former president and CEO of Arbitron, Inc. Liu is currently CEO of Essex Equity Management and managing partner at Richmond Hill Investments, while Manwani is COO of Unilever. Todman is president of Whirlpool Int'l. White is chairman, president and CEO of DIRECTV GROUP, Inc.
