Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. reported fourth-quarter stand-alone net profit of Rs.3,014.78 crore, up from the Rs.2,558.34 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012. Total income increased to Rs.13,102.95 crore from the Rs.10,414.37 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding year.
On a consolidated basis, its fourth-quarter net profit grew to Rs.3,615.64 crore from the Rs.2,894.93 crore in the year-ago quarter. Total income rose to Rs.16,872.54 crore from Rs.13,357.95 crore in the preceding year quarter.
The company recommended a final dividend of Rs.13 per equity share of Re.1 each for the fiscal year 2012.
TCS shares closed Wednesday's trading at Rs.1,459.20, down by 1.73 percent from the previous close on the BSE.
