Alkermes (ALKS) announced positive preliminary results from a phase 2 study of ALKS 5461, its drug compound for major depressive disorder.
Alkermes gapped open higher Wednesday and climbed during the second half of the morning. The stock ended the day higher by 4.12 at $29.72 on the highest volume of the year. Alkermes rose to its second consecutive new high for the year.
