Omnicom Group Inc. (OMC) Thursday reported marginally higher net income available to company for the first quarter. Earnings per share came in ahead of analysts' expectations.
For the period, the firm posted net income attributable to company of $205.1 million or $0.76 per share, up from $204.6 million or $0.72 per share last year.
Seventeen analysts on average polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings per share of $0.75 for the quarter. Analysts estimates typically exclude one-time items.
Revenue for the three months was $3.398 billion, up from $3.307 billion a year ago. Analysts had expected revenue of $3.41 billion.
