Air Products (APD), a helium production company, on Thursday revealed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding or MOU with Gazprom Export LLC, a Russian company confirming long-term plans to purchase helium from Gazprom.
Air Products in a statement said that the MOU also indicated Air Products' interest in working with Gazprom on logistical, technical, and production facets of the overall project.
Further, Air Products added that Gazprom intends to start with the development of its major natural gas resources in Eastern Siberia, with plans to implement large-scale helium production from feedstock in the Blagoveshchensk region beginning in 2018.
