Producer price inflation in Estonia accelerated in March, the latest figures released by Statistics Estonia showed Monday.
The producer price index for the industrial sector rose 5 percent year-on-year in March, faster than 4.3 percent increase in February.
On a monthly basis, the PPI increased 0.8 percent last month. Compared to February, PPI was influenced by the increase in prices for electricity and heat energy production and manufacture of food products.
The statistical office also reported that import prices decreased 1 percent year-on-year, but rose 0.6 percent on a monthly basis. Export prices fell 0.6 percent annually while it increased 0.2 percent compared to February.
