Suez Environnement (SZEVY.PK) reported first-quarter revenue of 3.50 billion euros, compared to 3.59 billion euros last year, a decrease of 2.6%. The company said its first-quarter revenues were stable excluding the impact of Melbourne plant construction completion in December 2012.

EBITDA was reported at 570 million euros, compared to 566 million euros prior year, an increase of 0.8%. EBITDA was stable in organic terms. The company said, despite a difficult macro-economic context in Europe, its EBITDA margin was at 16.3%, improving compared to last year.

Suez Environnement said its operating performance confirms the relevance of the strategic choices made by the Group, both in terms of business model and cost reductions already achieved and further strengthened since the second half of 2012.
