Lithuania's industrial production rose in March from a year ago as stronger growth in manufacturing offset the decline in mining and quarrying output, data from the Department of Statistics showed Monday.

Industrial production rose an unadjusted 9 percent from the same month last year, while on a working-day adjusted basis, growth was 8.4 percent.

Manufacturing output increased 9.1 percent, while output in mining and quarrying fell 7.7 percent.

Month-on-month, industrial production rose an unadjusted 10.7 percent in March. On a seasonally adjusted basis, production grew 2 percent from February.
