Heart and Rush were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last week, and both bands gave rousing performances at the event.

Rush was joined by Foo Fighters fronter Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins, both of whom helped the band play "2112." The famed prog trio took over from there, playing "Tom Sawyer" and "The Spirit of the Radio."

"Rock & roll has forever been ensconced in mystery," said Grohl before the performance. "But there's one mystery that surely eclipses them all: When the f**k did Rush become cool? . . . Their legacy is that of a band that stayed true to themselves no matter how uncool they seemed to anyone."

Other inductees included Quincy Jones, Randy Newman, Donna Summer, Public Enemy and Albert King. An edited version of the event airs May 18 on HBO.
