Trustmark Corp. (TRMK) reported net income attributable to common shareholders for the first quarter of $24.9 million or $0.38 per share, compared to $30.3 million or $0.47 per share for the year-ago quarter.
On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.41 per share on for the first quarter.
Net interest income for the latest first quarter rose to $92.6 million from $90.6 million a year earlier, while total non-interest income for the quarter was $44.3 million, up from $43.8 million in the comparable quarter last year.
Trustmark declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.23 per share, payable on June 15, 2013, to shareholders of record on June 1, 2013.
