DuPont (DD) reported first quarter operating EPS of $1.56 Tuesday morning, down from $1.64 in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.52. The company reaffirmed its outlook for full-year 2013 operating earnings range of $3.85 to $4.05 per share. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $3.89.
DuPont climbed until around mid-afternoon Tuesday and closed higher by 2.08 at $52.49 on above average volume. The stock broke out of a month and a half long range and set over an 11-month high.
