The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (PNC) Tuesday said William Demchak has assumed the position of President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 23.
Demchak replaces James Rohr who will now serve in the new position of executive chairman until his retirement in 2014.
Demchak joined PNC as CFO, and was later became head of Corporate & Institutional Banking. He was later promoted to senior vice chairman and named head of all PNC businesses.
