Coca-Cola FEMSA Q1 Profit Declines

Coca-Cola FEMSA S.A.B de C.V. (KOF) Wednesday posted lower profit for the first quarter reflecting increased operating expenses for the period.

For the quarter the company posted net income attributable to equity holders of 2.434 billion peso versus 2.637 billion pesos last year. On a per share basis earnings for the period fell to 6.39 peso from 7.02 peso last year.

Total revenues for the period increased slightly to 33.561 billion pesos from 33.542 billion pesos last year.

Operating expenses for the quarter were 11.264 billion peso versus 10.953 billion peso last year.
