Shares of Akamai Technologies Inc. (AKAM) surged more than 17% in after hours trading after the provider of content delivery and cloud infrastructure services reported better-than-expected first quarter results.

Fusion-io Inc (FIO) shares gained more than 11% in extended hours trading after the memory drive maker forecast fourth quarter revenue above analysts' current consensus estimate.

Shares of On Assignment, Inc. (ASGN) rose more than 8% in late trading after the professional staffing firm reported first quarter revenue and earnings above Wall Street expectations.

Western Digital Corp. (WDC) shares advanced more than 3% in after hours trading after the hard-drive maker reported forecast-beating quarterly results.

Shares of Zynga Inc. (ZNGA) slipped more than 8% in extended hours trading after the online social game developer forecast second quarter results below analysts' current consensus estimates.

Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM) shares fell more than 5% in late trading after the chipmaker issued a down-beat earnings outlook for its third fiscal quarter.

Shares of Intuit Inc. (INTU) slumped more than 9% in after hours trading after the tax preparation software maker cut its third quarter and full year outlooks.
