Europe's construction giant Vinci SA (VCISY.PK), Thursday said its first-quarter sales grew 3.4 percent from a year ago, reflecting strong performance at its contracting business.
First-quarter consolidated revenue grew 3.4 percent to 8.42 billion euros from 8.15 billion euros last year.
Overall Group activity remained solid despite poor weather conditions during the quarter, the company noted in a statement.
Revenues from contracting business, which includes Energy business line, Eurovia, and Vinci Construction, rose 5.2 percent to 7.23 billion euros from 6.87 billion euros last year.
Concessions business revenues increased 0.5 percent to 1.18 billion euros from 1.17 billion euros last year.
