Yahoo! Inc. (YHOO) Thursday said Fred Amoroso has resigned as the Chairman of the board, effective immediately. Maynard Webb, Jr. has been elected to replace Amoroso on an interim basis.
Amoroso will stay on the Board through the June shareholders meeting, but has decided not to seek reelection.
"Fred has been a wonderful chairman for Yahoo! over the past year. Fred's mentorship and perspective has proved truly valuable to me in my first few months here at Yahoo!, " said Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer.
