White Mountains Insurance Group Ltd. (WTM) reported that its first-quarter net income attributable to shareholders increased to $120.4 million from $93.8 million last year. Net income from continuing operations was $110.2 million, compared to $109.7 million prior year. Profit per share was $19.17, compared to $12.61 last year. Total revenues decreased to $627.4 million from $629.6 million last year.
The company reported adjusted book value per share of $606 at March 31, 2013, up 3.3% for the first quarter of 2013, including dividends.
