Atlas Pipeline Partners, L.P. (APL) Monday reported a net loss for the first quarter of $28.8 million or $0.48 per unit, compared to a profit of $4.9 million or $0.06 per unit for the year-ago quarter. The latest quarter results reflected an early debt extinguishment charge of $26.5 milllion.
Meanwhile, total revenue for the first quarter spiked to $407.91 million from $292.28 million a year ago.
Analysts poled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.35 per share on revenue of $439.40 million for the first quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
