Jacobs Engineering Q2 Profit Rises; Maintains FY13 EPS View - Quick Facts

Technical consultancy services provider Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (JEC) reported that its second quarter net earnings rose to $104.4 million or $0.80 per share from $83.9 million or $0.65 per share a year earlier.

On average, 18 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.83 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Quarterly revenues grew to $2.84 billion from $2.70 billion a year earlier. Fifteen analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $2.93 billion for the quarter.

Looking ahead to fiscal 2013, the company maintaining earnings per share guidance within a range of $3.00 to $3.50. Analysts now estimates the company to earn $3.33 per share for fiscal 2013.
